Do you have a nursery?
A nursery is available for children 4 years and younger during our worship service and our Sunday school hour. Children older than 4 years are encouraged to attend worship and the Sunday school class that is appropriate for their age.

Do you celebrate Holy Communion?
We celebrate Holy Communion (also called the Eucharist, and the Lord’s Supper) at most every worship service. The Lord’s Table is open to all who come in faith.

How should I dress?
We are a community open to all. Jeans and suits are equally welcome.

Where can I park?
We have plenty of parking available and some designated specially for our guests. You can enter the Sanctuary on Sunday morning through the breezeway entrance or via the doors visible from the parking lot.

What’s available for my children?
We have a nursery for your youngest children. From 8:45 – 9:45 a.m. on Sundays*, there are different opportunities for people of all ages to engage in faith education (aka “Sunday School”). This is an opportunity to discover the fullness of God’s interaction with our world. Teams of teachers lead  participants through hands-on activities and discovery.  Christian Education is life-long learning.

*Please note: we do not have Sunday School during summer. We hold a  Vacation Bible School in the summer for children ages 3-5th grade; a middle-school Day Camp (6th – 8th grades) held on campus at Grace, staffed by college camp counselors; a high school mission trip; and a week of camp at Luther Springs (the Lutheran Outdoor Ministries Camp, near Ocala.)

What does “Faith Education” for adults look like?
Most Sundays, we invite you to join one of several opportunities from 9:45-10:45am to explore different themes relating to life today and how they intersect with God’s Story in the Holy Scriptures. This is a good chance to meet others and explore the depth and reaches of faith. We often discuss topics through small groups while in a larger group setting.

What is a “Lutheran?”
A diversity of denominations make up what the world knows as “Christianity.”  In today’s world, we cannot avoid choosing how we will follow Jesus in his mission to love and bless the world with the grace of God.  Most all denominations stand together in accepting the risen Jesus of Nazareth as God’s Son, the One who has come to bring fullness of life in God’s Spirit. Being “Lutheran” is being a follower of Jesus with the freedom, faith and grace that took center stage in the life of Martin Luther (1483 – 1546).  This “heritage of Grace” is a defining mark of “being Lutheran”.

Lutherans are Christians who shape our life together as a church by standing in the Great Tradition of the historic confessions of the church, and also by moving forward with renewing, reforming innovation.  These confessional documents are built upon our firm belief that:

  • We are saved by the grace of God alone–not by anything we do;
  • Our salvation is through faith alone–we only need to trust God, made known in Christ, whose promise is forgiveness, life and salvation; and
  • The Bible is the norm for faith and life–the true standard by which teachings and doctrines are to be judged.
